This is a very lovely game so far. The art style is a wonderful painted style that approaches realism, and I especially love all the different poses of the NPCs and their vivid facial expressions. The many, many CGs are a treat as well, like a picture book. The backgrounds are well done and are in the same art style as everything else (points given for that). The love interests are charming, each in their own way.

The writing is engaging and crisp. It does a good job of establishing the world that these characters live in. As for the story, consider me hooked! I love the mythology that you've established, and I can't wait to find out how it develops.

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

And now I will theorize and share my thoughts on the story!!

As far as I can tell, there are two factions. The Royal Council of Wizards and the sorcerers, and then the other "secular" factions--the Kingdom of Cirelon, etc.

Lindinis was perhaps a town of sorcerers, and was burned down/destroyed by the Council or the Council's followers. Silvana either had her memories removed by the Council or lost them and the Council decided to take advantage of this fact to observe a sorcerer in their natural habitat or use Silvana as a weapon against the other sorcerers. That year Silvana spent in the house was meant as a trial period almost, to see if Silvana was "safe" or if she would regain her memories. Personally, I think that a war is coming between the sorcerers and the Council (and Council-adjacent allies), and the Council is hoping to use Silvana in this war, which is why they let her attend the school. (Matthias also said them letting her go was an "investment")

History is written by the winners of course, and there were a few allusions to this in Silvana's conversations with Chloe. It is possible that the sorcerers are "innocent" and are being unjustly persecuted by the Council for whatever reason. Alternatively, the sorcerers may be just as terrible as described, and the Council is justified in outlawing them. Of course, the truth may be somewhere in the middle, too!

And those are the thoughts I have so far, my little theories on how the story will develop.

There are games that I hope to come across when I trawl through itch.io's long long list of visual novels, and this is a great example of it. A game that is a representation of one person's vision. I find these kinds of games to be great reads.

But at any rate, keep up the good work, at your own pace of course. I'll be eagerly awaiting whatever you have next. :)

This is absolutely delightful! I especially like the painterly style of the backgrounds and characters, it gives this visual novel such a unique look against many others that drew me in immediately, like an illustration in an old book.

All the characters are so interesting, from their looks to their voices and personality; I'm keen to know more about them, the lore and our place in the world. My imagination is buzzing with your ideas and words. Lovely. I can't wait to keep playing this all over again until I run out of choices. So perhaps it's a mercy that's it's only a demo for now, because I suspect the full release will take over my life.

So excited for more!

Thank you! It's so nice to have my work appreciated. I hope you enjoy the whole game as much!

may I ask what kind of mature content do you mean in the warnings? :) also are you able to meet andreo in the demo

In the demo there is sexual innuendo. I made the warning more specific now. I'll add more warnings when I get more of the game done. Andreo is not in the demo but you can hear his voice in the promo video.

The humour is wonderfully dry.  The facial expressions, and actions, are in keeping with the tone of the scenes.  The voice acting is superb.  The many npcs, with their varied faces, body types and behaviour, fits both era and genre.  I've not seen a copy pasted person yet!  I keep going back over my favourite parts, which is just about everything, just to snicker and chuckle again.  It doesn't get old.

I'd normally mute voices because they'd not be what I'd imagined, but I'd forgotten to do that, accidentally trapping myself lol.

In this very, very short demo; I've managed to 'play' for six hours and counting.  The work that must have gone into this is mind boggling.  All the characters, npcs, and such, I love them all.  Even the ones I'd marked as 'evil.'

There's only one person I'm not comfortable with.  Matthias.  He's the spitting image of one of my inlaws.  The beard.  The hair.  Both colour, and length.  His face.  ahaha.  Yeah.  Friend zoned forever.

Thank you for this.  Definitely looking forward to more.

I'm obsessed with this game. It's so well written I found myself getting attached to all the girls at the academy already. And that snippet of Matthias? Great job!

Thanks for this game, i can't explain how much has it captivated me. I love how the story is going and i can't wait to the full game!!! I hate to be the one asking this but... do you have a date for the full release? Just to know, not wanting to presure you ):

(+2)

Thank you for the kind words! I don't have a release date yet. I am one person working on everything. To say this year would be optimistic. ^_^

Nothing to thank for!! And that's perfect I understand totally and wish you the best. Just one last question: are you planning  on releasing small updates or there will be just an update with the full game? ^^

I am just fascinated by this game. Illustrations take some time to get used to it, but then it is simply impossible to tear yourself away from this style.

What a wonderful beginning of the new game year. Thanks for your inspirational work!
