To add variety to each route, I am planning to have multiple opportunities for the love interests (and Silvana) to confess their feelings. To confess earlier in the game, Silvana will need to have a better rapport with her love interest right out of the gate. This is affected by her personality type. Each of the main love interests has a personality type he favors, but in most cases Silvana having a different type won't make him unavailable for romance.

If Silvana has a high affinity with her love interest early on but you don't want her to confess feelings the first chance she has, she can wait until her love interest confesses first. If Silvana's affinity for her love interest never grows, he might break things off with her in Act IV. The earliest anyone will confess love is in Act III.
